Quotes and Slogans about Texting While Driving

Despite the fact that texting while driving is extremely dangerous, many people still engage in it. A study revealed that about 77% of teenagers think that they are safe texting while driving. And while that estimate may allow adults a chance to wiggle their fingers and rant to their children about the irresponsibility, studies reveal that adults are no different. More than half of the adult respondents in a survey agreed that they used a mobile phone while driving.

Much has been done, and many steps have been taken to resolve the issue, like defensive driving courses which increase awareness, but there is still a long way to go. Taking the texting and driving pledge can be a good way to ensure responsible driving.

While these methods go a long way in creating conscientious drivers, the slogans and awareness campaigns take a lighter tone to appeal to the human nature. Some of these slogans and quotes are serious, some straightforward, some funny, but all of them hit the point home. Here are our favorites.

Slogans and Quotes about Texting while Driving

A general rule of thumb, humorous is not an adjective attributed to churches. But some ingenious religious people have added slogans on churches that we can’t help but chuckle at, and admire their creativity.

“Honk if you love Jesus. Text and Drive if you want to meet him.”

The Think! Road safety channel posted this image to relay the message “you can’t do two things at the same time” in a thought-provoking way. Try reading this:

                                                                    “You’re four times

                                                                           It’s hard to

                                                                  more likely to have

                                                                       concentrate on

                                                                        a road accident

                                                                            two things

                                                                         when you’re on

                                                                         at the same time.

                                                                          a mobile phone.”

In the Stop Texts, Stop Wrecks campaign, we found numerous slogans and ad campaigns which captured the true essence of what happens when you text and drive and slip up in just eight words:

“You don’t want them responding to your text.”

Who?

Them:

A heartbreaking quote from the mother of a texting while driving victim was posted in one of the ads on the “50 reasons not to text and drive” campaign.

“In a split second, you could ruin your future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the heart of everyone you love.”

Apart from this, the Distracted Driving campaign also features some of the best slogans and quotes that we have seen. Have a look!

                                     “When you’re distracted, who’s driving?”

“The road is no place to socialize.”

Vodafone launched a campaign, too, educating their customers to avoid texting while driving. They paired this quote:

“Make sure you and your teenagers stay safe on the road. Using a mobile while driving is dangerous and illegal. Pull over to the side of the road, or switch it off when driving.”

Simply put, texting while driving is dangerous. And certainly not worth it. The text can wait, so focus on the road ahead.
